Second Look  --  the cutting floor
These guys are really scared.

However its interesting that so far their best strategy has been to ask for money...and that is not a little money, but a lot of money judging from their contribution amounts.  those republicans just can't hold themselves back.

Can this tactic be sufficient in the face of an establishment foe; one that clearly has all the backing as of someone who they believe to be merited, and unanimously due:  'Its Hillary time.'  could be their slogan, but what they are telling the American people is they are a united front, and they truly want to put an end to the two term presidency musical chairs that have become 'de riguer' in American politics.  Do you think money can keep this cycle going?

Hillary Clinton

The "Iron lady" of America.  It seems the Clintons have been running as a duo in American politics since the 1980s when Bill Clinton first ran for Governor of Arkansas.  A fuller report will be made about their history as duo in later blogs; for now let us look at an excerpt from Primary Colors that describes their relationship as a political force :

'We were sweeping up into the library, the librarian in tow, and now he had his big ears on. She was explaining her program and he was in heavy listening mode, the most aggressive listening the world has ever known: aerobic listening. It is an intense, disconcerting phenomenon--as if he were hearing quicker than you can get the words out, as if he were sucking the information out of you. When he gives full ear--a rare enough event; he's usually ingesting from two or three sources--his listening becomes the central fact of the conversation. He was doing this now, with the librarian, and she was staggering under it. She missed a step; he reached out, steadied her. She was middle-aged, pushing fifty, hair dyed auburn to blot the gray, unexceptional except for her legs, which were shocking, a gift from God. Had he noticed the legs when she almost went down on the stair? I couldn't tell. Howard Ferguson III had insinuated himself next to me, as we nudged up the crowded staircase, his hand squeezing my elbow--Lord, these were touchy fellows--saying: "Glad you changed your mind. Jack's really excited you could do this."'

Scary to think Hillary might choose not to run due to a advances in aging; that could lead to a Bill Clinton run in 2016, or at least that is how the Republicans would love to paint it:  first the few years of scandal leading out of the Obama presidency, as is customary, then the claim that it will be the old people, the same old people from the Clinton administration the first time...that are preparing to run the country by committee. If we see in fact, the mid-term Congressional elections fizzle for the Republicans, and that only radical Tea- Party candidates end up dominating the scene without there emerging a clear front-runner for the nomination, then look for them to set up this scenario's playing out, as a contrasting tactic.
